Darrell Craig Kemp was born to Walter and Alice Kemp on October 15, 1967 in McRae, GA. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Darrell attended Telfair and Wheeler County Schools and graduated from Wheeler County High School in 1985.
By trade, Darrell was a Corrections Officer, but his passion was sports and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Kemp, Jr.; his grandparents, Willie and Annie Lee Wooten and Walter, Sr. and Anna Kemp and his only niece, Jairah Ivey.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Alice Wooten Kemp; two sons, Darrell Kemp, Jr. and Jason Kemp; a sister, Kathryn Kemp Ivey; a nephew, Kamran Ivey; uncles, Freddie Wooten, Larry Pierce and James Conaway; aunts, Vassie Worthing, Juanita Wooten, Gail Wooten, Mable Kemp, Lois Lewis, Rita Kemp, Eva Conaway and Vera Mitchell; first cousins who he referred to as his sister and brother kins, Jacqueline Kay Hall, Janie Travis, Lendell (Stephanie) Wooten, John (Michelle) Worthing, Rodney Wooten, Janitta (Martin) Barnes, Yolanda (Donald) Moring, Christopher (Chill) Dunham and Marcus (Chandra) Worthing and a host of other relatives and friends.
