Earlene James Obituary

Earlene James was born to the late Sol and Mae Etta James on October 15, 1953. She departed this life on June 3, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Colonel James; her sisters, Rosa Mason and Rebecca Fanchee; and her godmother, Ella Pearl Kinchen Wright.
Earlene James graduated from Wheeler County High School. She was a longtime employee of Bimbo Bakeries in Fort Worth, Texas, where she later retired. In her free time, she found joy in gardening and traveling.
Earlene James was a true servant in the church. She served as a bookkeeper, usher board member, member of the Mass Choir, Chair of Finance, and member of the praise team under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Louis C. Carr, Jr. in Fort Worth, Texas.
Earlene James leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Dwuaka Turner of Fort Worth, Texas; her son, Aaron James of McRae-Helena; two grandchildren, Bre’Onna Patton and Mackenzie Turner; two great-grandchildren, Nova Battle and Kingston Reed; two sisters, Addie Graham and Grace Dawkins of Glenwood, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends. She also leaves special friends, Glenda Randle and Richard Perkins.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure.
