Floyd “Mutt” McRae was born on October 20, 1938 in Cedar Park, Ga to the late Hallie and Pearl McRae of Lumber City, Georgia. He departed his life on November 7, 2020, in Jacksonville, Georgia. Early in life, Floyd moved to Irvington N.J. where he was educated and started a moving company business which later transformed into his own trucking company, BALD EAGLE EXPRESS TRUCKING COMPANY. He was OWNER/BOSS for 60+ years. Floyd's business empire expands from the east and west coast of the United States to the continent of Africa. Floyd has mastered a long list of business accolades and business associates from all over the world. Coming from a long line of truckers, Floyd was a true outdoorsman who loved trucking and hunting.
Floyd was preceded in death by siblings; (10) Beulah Mae, Williard (“Buck”), Oscar, Robert, Nealie, Willie Ann, Geneva, Eli, Ernestine and Ben.
Floyd leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sylvia McRae; one step daughter, Sharon Clark and one granddaughter, Janae Greenidge; (2) sisters, Carrie Locklar, and Charlie Ann Parker; (2) brothers, Hallie McRae, Jr. and George B. McRae and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as a special friend, Charlie Frank Boyd.
