Joseph Franklin Chapman made his transition from labor to reward at his home with family by his side on January 7, 2021. He was born September 26, 1941 to the late Sammie and Eula Mae Chapman. He grew up in Alamo, Georgia along with his siblings.
He was a loved and devoted member of the Bride Church of Jesus in Helena, Georgia. He retired from Little Ocmulgee EMC after 31 years of service. He was also an honorable veteran. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Williams and James Chapman.
He leaves to cherish a devoted wife of 25 years, Angela Chapman; one daughter, Chasity Chapman; three sons, Joseph Chapman, Jr. (Demetrise), Gregory Chapman (Pamela) and Davin Chapman (Monet); one sister, Josie Herring; two brothers, Sammie Chapman (Toni) and Johnny Chapman (Dorothy); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a special niece, Chelsea Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Three faithful children he gained in Christ, Choka Cockrell, Lawanna McCrimmon and Olivia Grace Hughes, and a devoted church family.
