Junious Bennett

Mr. Junious Bennett was born in Telfair County on October 20, 1920 to the late Jim Bennett and Lillian Herring Bennett.   His maternal grandparents were the late Cora Herring and Ray Henson and his paternal grandparents were the late Zona Bennett and Dizart Bennett.  He was the eldest brother of Jack, Louis (L.W.), Curtis, John (Tap), Carl, Mayjorie, Louise, Marie, and Thelma, all of whom preceded him in death.  

In 1939, he united in Holy Matrimony to Neomia Smith Bennett and to this union six children were born, Doris, Charles, Horace, Marilyn, Carolyn and William. At an early age, he joined Rockwell CME Church where he served faithfully as the Treasurer and the Chairman of the Steward Board.  

Mr. Bennett transitioned on November 3, 2017 at 7:28 pm at McRae Manor surrounded by family.  He leaves to cherish his memory a brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Elvera Southerland who were steadfast in their care and love for him; his children, Doris (John) Pitts, Charles (Rene) Bennett, Horace (Regina) Bennett, Marilyn Lawton, Carolyn Spaulding, William (Olivia) Bennett, Bobby (Annie Mae) Horne and Vincent (Jeanette) Clark; brother, Ernest Southerland; grandchildren, Larry (Pam) Durr, John Pitts, Jr., Jacqueline Hart, Theresa Thornton, Charles Bennett, Horace Bennett, Jr., Calvin (Viveca) Bennett, Patrick (Valerie) Bennett, Archie Lawton, Alex (Cora) Lawton, Brittany Lawton, Sondra (Jams) Boddie, Bai'lee Clark, Jamarius Clark, Ammir Boyd, Kayden Clark, Kalijay Ellis, Akin Boyd, riah Boyd and Aakael Boyd; 22 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
