The honorable Mildred Litman Adams was born in Scotland, Georgia on February 3, 1925 to the late Robert and Lela Litman. Mildred attended Wheeler County Schools. She was a devoted member of Sand Hill Baptist Church and was also a member of the Willing Workers Charity Club.
She united in Holy Matrimony to Raymond Adams in June of 1944. She was the very first employee at McRae Manor Nursing Home and worked there until she retired. She was a loving caregiver to many in the community.
On February 5, Mildred passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home at the centennial age of 100.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory a son, Carl Adams (Dorothy) and daughter, Jeanetta Walton; 8 grandchildren, Charles Washington, Jr., Darien Adams, Sr., Bernard Walton, Patrick Parker, Juenesse Holman, Shanisa Josey, Charmane Walton and Carla Adams; 33 great grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Julius Adams (Lossie); a host of nieces and nephews.
