Ms. Minnie P. Howell, daughter of the late Tobias (Tobie) and Mamie Bess Howell was born on July 5, 1938, in Wheeler County. She departed this life on Friday, August 16, 2024, after a short illness. Early in life, she joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member until death. She was the Mother of the church, President of the Usher Board and Treasurer of W.M.B.S. Society Missionary Worker. Early in life, she moved to Newark, New Jersey where she was employed as a supervisor at Annin Flags in Verona. After retirement, she returned to Lumber City, GA where she lived out the rest of her days.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Anthony Howell, four grandchildren, Anthony Ricks of Lumber City, GA, Tyre and Tyshawn Jones of Newark, New Jersey and Auora Brewer of Lumber City, GA; three great grandchildren, Destiny Ricks of Florida, Journey Hall of Hazlehurst, GA and Armoni Beard of Lumber City, GA; four sisters, Gaynelle H. Towle of Hinesville, GA, Betty H. Robinson and Jancie H. Wilcox of Lumber City, GA and Wanda Hightower of East Dublin, GA.
