Opera Lee Jones, age 73, went to sleep in death on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Houston Medical Center, Warner Robins, GA. She was born on June 14, 1944 in Telfair County to the late Robert L. McRae and Fannie Mae Ferguson McRae. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Weldon Moore and Carrie Jewell McArthur; brothers, Nelson, William and Melvin McRae.
She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized July 30, 1971 and faithful until death. She is survived by her husband, Sammie Jones; one son, Bernard (Amy) Harris and a host of other relatives and friends.
